East Meets West

A collaboration between Rita Goldfarb and Cate Brown.

Rita spent the last decade living along the rugged west coast between Oregon and Vancouver Island, and Cate has spent her time documenting surf on the East coast in Rhode Island. Both admirers of each others work they decided to collaborate their photography. Using portraits from Cate and landscapes from Rita these new images were born. Over the course of 2019-2022 there has been 3 iterations of East Meets West. Each collection has breathed new life into their imagery, and given them both further drive to push themselves creatively and to explore these places beyond the digital and into the tangible world.
